How to Apply

  1. 1Create an account on the CitizenServe portal at citizenserve.com/lombardil.
  2. 2Submit your permit application online with required documents (PDF, JPG, or GIF; 20 MB max per file).
  3. 3Upload plan sets as combined PDFs with descriptive file names.
  4. 4The Building Division reviews the application (2–3 weeks for new buildings/large additions; shorter for simple projects).
  5. 5Fees are calculated at the conclusion of review. Pay online through the portal.
  6. 6Once approved, post the permit visibly at the job site.
  7. 7Schedule inspections through the Building Division at (630) 620-5750 as work progresses.
  8. 8Request a final inspection upon completion to close out the permit.
