Follow Your Town: Stay Updated Without Lifting a Finger

The simplest way to stay connected to your community.

Not everyone wants to set up custom alerts or configure a dashboard. Some people just want to follow their town and get updates when something interesting happens.

That's exactly what the Follow button does.

One Click on Any Town Page

Visit any town page and you'll see a Follow banner near the top. Click it. That's it. You're now following that town.

When you follow a town, two things happen:

1. It becomes your default town on the dashboard, so your scorecard, trends, and widgets all start with your town
2. You start receiving email updates about new meetings, news articles, and significant data changes

Manage Your Subscriptions

You can follow multiple towns and manage all of them from your Account page. Toggle email updates on or off for each town, or unfollow entirely.

Following additional towns is useful if you live in one suburb but work in another, or if you're comparing nearby communities.

Why We Built This

We looked at our analytics and saw something obvious: most people visit the same town page, over and over, checking for updates. That's a problem we should solve with notifications, not with repeated visits.
