The Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL) is dedicated to providing educational opportunities tailored to the unique needs of individuals aged 3 to 22 who face physical, mental, and emotional challenges. Additionally, Lake Forest High School’s West Campus proudly hosts a SEDOL education program, further supporting students in our community. Location: Everett Annex Give your child the gift of responsibility and let us teach them essential life skills with our Safe Sitter Workshop. This program is tailored to 11-13-year-olds and provides comprehensive training in safety, medical care, and business skills to ensure they become safe and nurturing babysitters. Using interactive discussions, practice sessions, and role-play, our curriculum prepares students to take on the responsibility of babysitting with confidence and ease. Program Schedule: Friday, April 24 from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm & Saturday, April 25 from 8:30 am-2:00 pm. Please bring a peanut free lunch and drink to the full day session, and a peanut free snack and drink to the half day session. Register here

Join the Lake Forest College Concert Band as we celebrate the power of music on our campus and within the Lake Forest Community. Programming will include a world premiere piece by Lake Forest’s own James Stephenson, First Light by American composer David Maslanka, and a selection of music that represents the beautiful diversity we have in our campus community. First 50 community member registrations receive an invitation to a pre-event reception. The evening will feature a USA 250-themed pre-concert reception and remarks from Lake Forest College President Mike Sosulski and chair of the Department of Music and concert conductor Scott Edgar. The concert begins at 7:00 p.m., with the pre-event reception (in the Stuart Room at Gorton) beginning at 5:30 p.m. and remarks at 6:15 p.m.
