Gilberts is a village in Kane County, about 45 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. With a population of about 8,400, it is a growing residential community served by CUSD 300 and known for its family-friendly neighborhoods, proximity to the Fox River, and its origins as a railroad stop platted in 1855 along the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad.
