Hampshire is a village in northwestern Kane County, about 50 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. With a population of about 8,400, it is a family-oriented community served by CUSD 300, known for its excellent parks, historic downtown, and rapid residential growth along the I-90 corridor. Founded in 1876, Hampshire operates under a modified Mayor-Council form of government.
