Montgomery is a village straddling the Fox River in Kane and Kendall counties, about 45 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. With a population of about 21,000, it was founded in 1835 by settlers from Montgomery County, New York. The village is served by five school districts — West Aurora SD 129, East Aurora SD 131, Oswego CUSD 308, Yorkville CUSD 115, and Kaneland CUSD 302.
