Lily Lake is a small residential village in western Kane County, about 50 miles west of downtown Chicago. Originally known as Canada Corners, the community was incorporated in 1990 to resist a proposed landfill. With a population of about 1,400, the village is a quiet, semi-rural community served by Central CUSD 301. It has no municipal police department, relying on the Kane County Sheriff for law enforcement.
